ERIN FRISCH
Artist & Educator
Erin Frisch is a contemporary embroidery artist. Erin works in embroidery to capture specific moments of everyday life. She is often inspired by her own photography or household objects. She enjoys documenting passing moments using the slow process of embroidery. She also finds inspiration in the landscape and layered history of her home state of Texas.
Erin has led community workshops at Dallas Contemporary, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Meadows Museum, University of North Texas, Texas Women’s University, and the Penland School of Craft Community Collaborations. Erin earned her M.A. in Art Education from University of Texas at Austin where she was an Education Fellow at the Blanton Museum of Art. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University. She is an educator at the Nasher Sculpture Center. |
